promsmusic in 2 months i'll be releasing my second album as proms, it's called gone now. gone now is a retrospective look at loss and in accordance with the webster definition of retrospection it's a look backward but in direct opposition to that it's a look forward too. it's a story of grieving and being grieved.
i wanted it to sound like sitting shiva in a john hughes film. i think it does. lots of blood and sweat and tears and vomit went into this one and i hope you're ready to taste it. more info upcoming. for now here is the tracklist and a heartfelt thanks to my friends.

promsmusic @selectaudiovisual being invited to a writing camp for beeeeeeeeyonce is the ultimate goal but for now i have to settle for emulating her by taking an increasingly exhaustive series of dance lessons... seriously though when i say "visual album" what i mean is "there will be a video for each song and there is a cohesive visual theme that i, as a male artist, am not really accustomed to presenting to the general public because unlike pop girls i'm not expected to have 'eras' every time i cut a record but it's really not that epic so please don't be disappointed when these videos fall short of the outrageously high standard set by women artists"

promsmusic @austin_larsen i think in accordance with the "visual album" bylaws we're going to release singles alongside videos so as soon as that's done then it's done it's in the can it's headed to a small screen near you preferably an early edition chromebook that you have to strategically tilt in the dim overhead light of your nearest crawl space to better see what's going down

promsmusic @bethanyplaying annie is a fucking genius and a very big deal so there's lots of different swiveling pieces and turning cogs and lit up ferris wheels involved in that equation. i'm not the only person she's working with, so there's that to consider. but hopefully you'll be getting lp2 soon. i can't speak for her but i consider these records to be first cousins created in near synchronicity
